Born and raised in the great City of New Orleans, I grew up attending LSU games in Death Valley. My love for the Bayou Bengals expanded over time to include a deep appreciation for all that is Southeastern Conference football.
For years I sent weekly game preview emails to a small group of friends and family. The emails were lighthearted, sarcastic, and sprinkled with 1980s references and stories of life in the South.
Fast forward a few years to a remote strip of pink sand in the Bahamas. A chance meeting on Harbour Island with the owner of several Southern newspapers led to me writing a weekly SEC football column.
Now, I’m pleased to introduce SECbanter.com. While in its infancy stages, I hope longtime Banter fans and new readers alike will find it a fun, laid-back destination for content touching on the SEC lifestyle, football, and a little golf.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy it!
